Could the Solution to Chronic Illness Really Be This Simple?

So many of us suffer in silence with chronic illnesses today. 60% of Americans have a chronic illness and 40% have two or more.
Yes, we can complain about the seed oils, the chemtrails, the agrochemicals, the endocrine disrupters, the stressful pace of life in America - there are a million things contributing to rise in chronic illness. And no, it’s not fair. It’s incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking. But complaining doesn’t actually help. So we do the best we can with the cards that we are dealt and help lift others in the process.
I had Lyme disease and a whole slew of chronic symptoms. I was practically bedridden, couldn’t work and at times, couldn’t even drive. I barely left the house. I lost the ability to do any of the things I enjoyed, hang out with friends and live life. Going on a Target run seemed like a monumental task and required sometimes a good two days to recover from. My world got very small. I stayed in that place for years - miserable, scared, frustrated fighting relentlessly to find solutions so I could get back to normal life.
I saw naturopath after functional doctor after allopathic doctor, after hormone specialist after nutritionist after holistic doctor and on and on. GI maps, hormone panels, blood tests, strict diets that allowed me to eat only about 5 foods for months at a time, protocols that required 40+ supplements a day, red light, rest and more rest - NOTHING was working. In fact, as time went on I only got worse. More symptoms, more fear, more frustration. No one could fix me.
It was hard to reconcile the fact that I, a young woman in my early twenties who had been healthy and an athlete my whole life, could be bedridden with a seemingly unfixable chronic illness.
I started healing when I stopped going to doctor after doctor, taking 40+ supplements a day and eating on strict, regimented diets. I started healing when I stopped avoiding my emotions and stuffing my desires. I started healing when I focused on neuroplasticity and faced the things I didn’t want to face.
I would’ve laughed at you if you told me this several years ago but emotions have frequency, environments have frequency, thoughts have frequency and trauma, stress, how we process things that happen to us and how we think about life, it effects our physiology.
Not that there isn’t a place for functional, naturopathic and even allopathic doctors - God bless em, we need them! But if you have chronic symptoms that aren’t going away no matter what you try or how perfectly you follow treatment plans, the root is almost always trauma and disregulation in the limbic brain and nervous system.
Here are the resources that helped me, and hopefully they can be helpful to you too on your healing journey.
